Soon-to-be CIA director, John Brennan, and one of the CIA drones he wants to introduce you to.
How many Americans are aware that their government has claimed the authority to arbitrarily kill their fellow citizens when it chooses, and that it can do so ‘legally’, without any evidence that the citizen in question posed any threat to anyone, let alone the US government or its ‘interests’?
How many Americans are aware that the US government has responded to court cases brought by the ACLU questioning the US government’s authority to engage in targeted assassinations of US citizens by saying that this is a political question and that US courts and judges have no say in the matter (“There exists no appropriate judicial forum to evaluate these constitutional considerations“)? I’d wager not many. But that’s precisely what the US government has done, according to a leaked unsigned and undated Justice Department white paper, obtained by NBC News. You can read the white paper here. The actual legal justification as defined by Justice Department lawyers in 2010 is being kept secret by the government, but the ‘white paper’ explains that, not only has the government decided that targeted assassinations without due process are legal, but that no evidence of any imminent threat from a target is necessary for the target to be deemed an imminent threat. (Go figure). Read more »
I’m sure we’re all very tired by now of the Osama bin Laden nonsense, I know I am, and I really wish it would just go away. Sadly, that seems an unlikely prospect in the near future.
I’ve already provided more than enough evidence for all rational people to seriously doubt the authenticity of the “Osama bin Laden is dead” story. I’ve also exposed the many faked images and videos of the alleged terrorist mastermind that were released over the past 10 years. But the US government and CIA aren’t ready to quit just yet. It would appear that they’re determined to push the boundaries of belief and exploit public credulousness to the max (and perhaps beyond).
You’re probably aware that yesterday, Sat. 7th May 2011, the US government released “new” videos of ‘bin Laden’ that they claimed were part of the haul from the ‘compound’ in Pakistan, which, by the way, is very conveniently scheduled for destruction. Read more »
I have already pointed out the many glaring inconsistencies in the official account of the the ‘killing of Bin Laden’. But even as I write the story continues to fall apart. According to Pakistani Urdu TV channel Geo News quoting Pakistani intelligence officials, the incident involved a search operation launched by the Pakistani forces “after a Pakistani army helicopter was shot down in the wee hours of Monday in Abbotabad” According the source, at about 1:20 a.m. local time a Pakistani helicopter was “shot down by unknown people in the Sikandarabad area of Abbotabad”. The Pakistani forces launched a search operation in the nearby area and “encountered with a group of unknown armed people. A fire exchange followed between the two sides.”Now, this could simply be a case of Pakistani officials attempting to save face in the context of a flagrant and very public breach of Pakistani sovereignty, but even so, the official US government story still makes no sense whatsoever, and given that it comes essentially from the same cabal of psychopathic war-mongers who gave us the Iraq war lies etc., we have every reason NOT to believe it.
All of the available evidence strongly suggests that Bin Laden died many years ago. Nevertheless, the war-mongers and ‘reality creators’ in the US of A and elsewhere decided that he was just too damn perfect as an terrorist mastermind (think baddie in James Bond) to let him (or us) off the hook so easily. So, they used his image and attributed the 9/11 attacks and a host of other ‘terrorist’ crimes since then to him (without any evidence). But the fact that he was, in reality, quite dead, was an issue that the backroom boys in the Pentagon and the CIA were always going to have to face one day. And in case you’re wondering, the idea of allowing him to simply fade from public awareness was a non-starter, not due to any considerations of honor or justice, but rather because of the massive ‘political capital’ that his capture or killing would provide.
So at some stage in the recent past, a plot was hatched in the bowels of the Pentagon and CIA HQ to stage the death of Bin Laden. Word has it that the real codename for this operation was either ‘die another day’ or ‘you only live twice’. (but don’t quote me on that.) Read more »
As with most fabricated terror stories, the ‘Bin Laden is dead’ tale is full of contradictions, half-truths and outright lies. The fact that the story was fabricated from whole cloth is seen in the fact that the story is now changing from the details that initially ‘emerged’.
Who precisely made the claim that ‘Osama’ had a weapon and shot at US forces and that he used a woman as a human shield? What situation could a US soldier have found himself in where he thought he was under direct fire from a person in a room when he was in fact not? What possible scenario could have played out where a person was perceived to have used a ‘human shield’ when that person did no such thing? These are the questions that need to be asked as part of a serious investigation into this matter. But don’t hold your breath.
As of now, we can only conclude that these two scenarios were simply made up as part of an initial report on the alleged death of Bin Laden and they point directly to a conscious plan, right from the beginning (or even long before the actual events of May 1st) on the part of US authorities to concoct a false story to be disseminated to the public.
