As more details come out, it becomes increasingly clear that police/security officials attempted to murder both brothers and cover it up with a tissue of lies. In the case of the elder brother, Tamerlan, they succeeded. The younger Dhzokhar has been effectively silenced and passed into FBI custody.

Almost a week after police claimed that the Tsarnaev brothers fought a rolling street battle with dozens of heavily armed police officers, we learned Wednesday night that they had only a single handgun, according to sources who spoke with  ABC News and the AP, something that directly contradicts what officials had previously said.

JFK and the ‘F**king Crazies’

I’ve been reading James W. Douglas’ excellent book JFK and the Unspeakable: Why he died and why it matters. If you have time to read only one book on JFK, this is the one to pick. Douglas presents a detailed picture of Kennedy’s all-too-short time in office that leaves the reader in no doubt about how and why he was eventually killed, and who did it. In addition, it’s very well-written.

Douglas recounts that, during the summer of 1961, Kennedy was being harassed by the militant members (i.e. all) of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to approve the use of nuclear weapons on Laos and Berlin, against the ‘Communists’ (of course). After one  meeting where the Joint Chiefs reiterated their psychopathic demands, Kennedy just walked out and, looking back at generals and admirals left in the Cabinet Room, said to an aide: “These people are crazy“. The American Way of Life: Kills Lists and Torture

How many Americans are aware that their government has claimed the authority to arbitrarily kill their fellow citizens when it chooses, and that it can do so ‘legally’, without any evidence that the citizen in question posed any threat to anyone, let alone the US government or its ‘interests’?

How many Americans are aware that the US government has responded to court cases brought by the ACLU questioning the US government’s authority to engage in targeted assassinations of US citizens by saying that this is a political question and that US courts and judges have no say in the matter (“There exists no appropriate judicial forum to evaluate these constitutional considerations“)? I’d wager not many. But that’s precisely what the US government has done, according to a leaked unsigned and undated Justice Department white paper, obtained by NBC News. The actual legal justification as defined by Justice Department lawyers in 2010 is being kept secret by the government, but the ‘white paper’ explains that, not only has the government decided that targeted assassinations without due process are legal, but that no evidence of any imminent threat from a target is necessary for the target to be deemed an imminent threat. The Sandy Hook Massacre: Unanswered Questions

When 20 children and 8 adults were murdered in the Sandy Hook Elementary school massacre I, like most other people, were shocked and horrified at what appeared to be an act of senseless brutality. When a person experiences the tragic and untimely loss of a loved one, particularly in unusual or apparently inexplicable circumstances, the initial intense feelings of grief usually give way to a desire to understand HOW and WHY the tragedy occurred, in an effort to make sense of it and achieve some kind of ‘closure’. This is a very normal and natural human reaction. We have an innate need to understand the world around us and how things ‘work’. In our modern, technological world, most of what we understand about our world and how it works is provided to us by some authority or other. Two days ago, onDecember 14, 2012, another ‘withdrawn’, ‘troubled’, ‘genius nerd’ allegedly went on a rampage in the USA, killing dozens of people – this time, mostly small children at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

The US government wasted no time in making subtle allusions to ‘gun control’: “We’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics.” said Obama in the wake of the massacre. Statements such as these threaten to give America’s millions of 2nd amendment nut-jobs a collective aneurism.

Throughout the wide and emotionally-charged media coverage, no one seems to care that there are many serious unanswered questions about the last major US domestic massacre, allegedly by another ‘withdrawn’, ‘troubled’, ‘genius nerd’ – James Holmes – in July 2012 in an Aurora, Colorado movie theater.

A People That Shall Dwell Alone – Israel’s Attack On The Gaza Flotilla

Note: I wrote this article in June 2010 in response to the Israeli attack on the humanitarian aid ship the ‘Mavi Marmara’ and the murder of 9 of its passengers by IDF thugs. I had not published it on this blog, so here it is.

At approximately 4am on May 31st 2010, a group of vessels attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza were attacked by the Israeli navy in international waters off the coast of the occupied Palestinian territories. Nine civilians aboard the largest vessel, the Mavi Marmara, were shot dead by Israeli soldiers and dozens more were wounded. The Israeli government claimed it was exercising its right to self defence. Flotilla members, and much of the international community, saw it as an act of piracy and murder on the high seas that has exposed deep flaws in the Israeli mentality and further alienated it from the rest of the world.

The group of eight ships, known as the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, was a project of the Free Gaza Movement, a group of human rights activists from 37 countries. The ships carried over 700 people including journalists and dignitaries from the US to Malaysia and from Norway to South Africa. The stated goal of the Free Gaza Movement is to raise international awareness about “the prison-like closure of the Gaza Strip” and pressure the international community to “review its sanctions policy and end its support for continued Israeli occupation.” The movement’s board of advisors includes former and serving British, Irish and American politicians and distinguished academics, among others.

To fully understand the motivation of Gaza aid groups such as the Free Gaza movement, we must first take a brief look at the history of the occupied Palestinian territories and the state of Israel. Netanyahu at the U.N. or – Monumental Warmongering Bullshit

For all those who may, despite Netanyahu’s compelling argument at the UN yesterday, feel themselves teetering on the brink of falling for the foul-smelling propaganda about Iran and its “nuclear threat” to the world, there are a few things I’d like you to consider.

In the last 6 years or so, there have been literally dozens of official reports and comments about Iran’s nuclear program, and virtually all of them have stated that there is no evidence that Iran is planning to develop a nuclear weapon. The International Atomic Energy Agency has repeatedly stated that there is no evidence that Iran has diverted uranium to a weapons program. In addition, the true power in Iran, the Ayatollah Khamenei, issued a Fatwa against nuclear weapons in 2005.

What Iran is doing is attempting to achieve a ‘nuclear capability’ like nuclear power plants and Medical reactors etc. The problem for Israel (or so Netanyahu claims on behalf of all Israelis), is that once Iran achieves this ‘nuclear capability’ there is little to stop them from using that capability to ultimately produce a nuclear weapon, if they choose to do so. Loony Toons Arrive In New York: Netanyahu’s Speech at the UN 2012

Well, what can I say. It was HI-LAIR-EE-OUS! The same tired old bullshit that a kindergartener could figure out, the “clash of civilizations” spiel, the encouragement to “be afraid, be VERY afraid”.

Here are a few choice quotes:

“Radical Islam wants to end the modern world”.

(For a bunch of CIA-funded mercenaries, that’s a pretty tall order).

Or how about this one:

“The future of the world is at stake. If you want to know what a nuclear armed Iran would be like, just imagine a nuclear armed al-qaeda.”

So eh, did I miss the news that ‘al-qaeda’ (the CIA’s database of mujahedin fighters) has now obtained a nation state of its own and successfully enriched enough uranium and acquired the parts to build a nuclear bomb? Wow, that afternoon nap I took was longer than I thought!

But my favorite part was Netanyahu’s cartoon bomb picture. This was a stroke of genius, after all, people love pictures, they convey the message so much better than boring old words and facts, and on that score, Bibi really needed a picture.

How did Netanyahu get hold of Iran’s bomb?

My sources have informed me that the diagram presented by Netanyahu was a modified version of an original, more accurate diagram. Here’s the original:

Now I understand what Bibi is trying to do here, and I applaud him, but I can’t help think that he could have used an image from Iranian president Ahmadinejad’s speech at the UN one day previously. After all, it’s far more damning…

When I first saw Netanyahu’s diagram, I had a vague recollection of having seen something similar before. Then it hit me:

Being serious for a moment (I know it’s hard given Bibi’s farce); Bibi really shot himself in the foot with this one. Then again, that’s to be expected from a psychopath. Such deviant individuals generally end up over-extending themselves because they can’t fathom that there is a limit to the bullshit that ordinary people will believe.

Compared to, say, ten years ago, a lot of people today are aware of and talking about psychopaths. On the one hand this is encouraging, but on the other, it’s a little troubling. It is heartening to see awareness of psychopathy breach the mainstream frequency fence here and there, but the signal-to-noise ratio, as with all knowledge relevant to the growth and survival of decent human beings, remains high on the ‘noise’ side. We see ridiculous studies in the news portraying psychopaths as curable and articles making the rounds about how not having a Facebook account may indicate that someone is a psychopath. We’ve also seen Twitter being touted as a tool for ‘spotting psychopaths’ and, just today, news that the US justice system is considering acceptance of biological evidence that someone is a genetic psychopath in court with a view to using it to mitigate the sentences of criminal offenders. The reasoning being that psychopaths can’t help being psychopaths, that they lack free will and therefore they bear diminished responsibility for their crimes.

Well, yeah, that’s exactly why they need to be held under lock and key permanently.
